Metallic means "with the property of a metal"
Galena is a lead gray color. Galena is the natural mineral form of lead sulfide, and an important source of silver.
Examples of metals: sodium, uranium, Mercury, zinc, plutonium, calcium etc. Examples of nonmetals: oxygen, helium, carbon, sulfur, argon, nitrogen etc.
Lead has a metallic luster and is white in color. Aluminum, copper all also have metallic luster. Minerals do not have any metallic luster.
Galena is the natural mineral form of lead(II) sulfide. It is the most important lead ore mineral. Galena deposits often contain significant amounts of silver as included silver sulfidemineral phases or as limited solid solution within the galena structure. These argentiferous galenas have long been the most important ore of silver in mining. In addition zinc, cadmium, antimony, arsenic and bismuth also occur in variable amounts in lead ores. Selenium substitutes for sulfur in the structure constituting a solid solution series. The lead telluride mineral altaite has the same crystal structure as galena. Within theweathering or oxidation zone galena alters to anglesite (lead sulfate) or cerussite (lead carbonate). Galena exposed to acid mine drainage can be oxidized to anglesite by naturally occurring bacteria and archaea, in a process similar to bioleaching.
Galena is an interesting ore of lead (lead sulfide). It can form in isometric crystals and has perfect 4 direct cleavage forming cubes.
Galena is the metallic mineral ore of lead.

Silver is harder than lead, and it is less dense than lead. Lead is extremely soft - you can scratch it with a fingernail. And it is dense.
'Lead' is a dense, metallic element.
It is non metallic. The pencil 'lead' is graphite which is a common mineral, a soft carbon

coal, petroleum, lead, and silver
A lead-gray sectile mineral. It is a telluride of silver.
Xingzhongite is an opaque metallic mineral composed of copper, iridium, iron, lead, platinum, rhodium, and sulphur.
Gold is in the gold group. The group is composed of metallic elements that have the same crystal structure as gold. There are only six minerals in the gold group which are gold, silver, copper, mercury, aluminum and lead.
