For glycolysis to begin, it needs:
- Glucose from eating
- 2 ATP molecules, they "prime" the glucose molecule by adding phosphate to it.
- 4 ADP and 4 Phosphoric acids to be joined together
- 2 NAD molecules in their oxidized formed. Nicotinamine adenine dinucleotide.
Then the ten step cycle can begin! :)
Glycolysis is a determined sequence of enzyme-catalyzed reactions that converts glucose into pyruvate. It begins with glucose and produces pyruvate.
Glucose is the beginning molecule that begins the cascade of events that produces energy for the cell.

Glycolysis begins and ends in the cytoplasm, however, the rest of cellular respiration is completed within the mitochondria.

Glycolysis starts with glucose.

glycolysis
Glycolysis starts with glucose. It cost 2 ATP to rearrange the glucose molecule at the start of glycolysis. There is 1 molecule at the beginning of glycolysis.
