Translational motion . . .The object's center of mass winds up at a different locationcompared to where it was when the motion began.Rotational motion . . .The location of the object's center of mass doesn't change, butthe object turns, spins, whirls, tumbles, or rotates around it.
The main forces acting on a rock at rest in your hand are gravity pulling the rock downward and the normal force exerted by your hand pushing the rock upward. These forces are balanced, resulting in the rock staying at rest in your hand.
The three types of motion are uniform motion, variable motion, and periodic motion. Uniform motion is when the speed and direction stays the same. But in Periodic motion, the motion is repeated. But in contrast to all of them, Variable motion is when eventually the direction or the velocity (speed) change.Alternatively, in physics there are only three types of motion when describing particles eg electrons, molecules, atoms etc:transitional motion that takes an object from one location to another;vibrational motion that takes the object backwards and forwards over the same relatively small distance;rotational motion where an object is spinning. Most movement consists of a mixture of all three but the particles in a solid would have mainly vibrational motion where as gas particles would have them all.
This is nothing as complicated as "models of the universe"... it is a geometric phenomenon. For example, if an outer planet - outside the Earth's orbit - is retrograde, that simply means that Earth is overtaking that planet; temporary the planet seems to go "backwards".The main movement of planets is from West to East; but for part of each orbit, each planet will have an (apparent) movement from East to West - then it is said to be "retrograde".
Pronation is the motion that turns the palm of the hand downward or backward.

Pronation
Pronation of the hand results in the distal end of the radius being medial to the ulna and the palms facing backward or downward. This position is in contrast to the supination of the anatomic position.
In American Sign Language (ASL), you can sign "goodnight" by using your dominant hand to make a flat palm facing downward, and then moving your hand in a downward motion close to your body. It's a simple and common sign used to wish someone a peaceful night.
To sign "boy" in American Sign Language (ASL), make a downward motion with your flat hand from your forehead to your chin, keeping your fingers together.
In British Sign Language (BSL), the sign for "poo" is done by forming the letter 'P' with one hand and then moving it away from the body in a downward motion.
Salut: With an open hand/fingers together, stroke the cheek downward, then bring the hand from above the head and downward in front of the face. As with many signs this is a compund sign, and is, actually, feminine god.
In American Sign Language (ASL), the sign for "obey" involves making a flat hand shape, palm facing down, and moving it in a downward motion.
i guess knitting backwards is left-hand knitting or maybe purling
A sore is something painful, aching, irritating, throbbing or stinging. A saw is a hand tool for cutting wood with a long thin serrated bladed, hand operated using a backwards and forwards motion
You use a bottle cap to open the bottlecap. Place the bottle cap on your thumb, make a "C" (or a backwards "C") with your hand, and pop open the cap with an upwards motion.
