Respectfully as a metalhead at the age of 16, i say rap because most teens are into whats popular. But us music lovers know whats good in a song, not a song about and i quote "ass" and "weed". Rap sells more because its a trend :(

It's personal preference. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. No Genre is better than the other. The old answer was from someone who is bias to Rap, and used stereotypes saying why Metal sucks.
