Andrew Jackson was launched as a national figure in many ways. one big thing was the indian removal act of 1830. this is sometimes considerd a failure to some, but to many an accomplishment. the indian removal act was when the U.S bought Florida for 5mill. and andrew jackson was sent to recapture escaped slaves. he went way over his orders and took down all of the native americans and two of their mail buildings. this was a gret milestone in our nation as we could now start to build on florida and make it a useful part of the U.S.
