After his assassination, she married the Roman triumvirate member and Caesar's friend, Marc Antony. They had three children together, including a set of fraternal twins of the opposite gender. When Alexandria was invaded by Octavius's armies, she sent all four of her children away. Caesarion was to be sent to India, and return once he had grown to rebuild the Ptolmatic line, but he was killed during the voyage and never reached India. Her children by Antony she sent to one of his Roman wives. The two boys (the younger boy and one of the twins) mysteriously disappeared, but the girl survived to adulthood, married, and had children of her own.
