Two of the Boys have therefore passed away - Dennis drowned in California at the age of 39, and Carl of brain and lung cancer at the age of 51.

Of the six main members of the Beach Boys, brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, cousin Al Jardine, and friends Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, only the two younger Wilson brothers, Carl and Dennis, have passed away - Dennis drowned on December 27, 1983 off Marina Del Ray, Carl passed away having suffered from lung and brain cancer, on February 6, 1998.

Mike Love, Brian Wilson and Al Jardine are the only living of the original members. The other 2 original members Carl and Dennis Wilson died. The members that are currently in the group accept Mike, Brian and Al weren't the original members.
