∙ 14y agoTo paraphrase basically means, "to reword" or rewrite a paragraph or piece of writing.
For example, if someone wrote:
"Billy liked spending his time with Susie because she was nice. Her laugh was good to hear as they played on the swing set, and the wind felt good on their faces."
To paraphrase that, you could say:
"Billy enjoyed spending time with his new playmate, Susie. Her sweet mannerisms and gentle laughter soothed him as played on the swing set, enjoying the air that whipped past their faces as they swung."
