odysseus crew perishes
Odysseus pretended to be insane by planting salt in his fields. They caught him out because they placed his baby son, Telemachus, under the plow and Odysseus refused to run Telemachus over. Achilles actually dressed up as a girl. But when Odysseus, pretending to be a merchant, sold lots of things including a sword, only one "girl" picked up the sword. This was when the Achaeans knew that this girl was actually Achilles.
Telemachus is Odysseus's son.
When Achilles was sent by his mother Thetis to live as a transvestite, among the women at the court of King Lycomedes of Skyros, the king's daughter Deidamia discovered Achilles' true gender and became impregnated by him. The child of Deidamia and Achilles was Neoptolemus who fought at Troy after his father, Achilles, was killed. So, Neoptolemus is the name of Achilles' son.
Odysseus did not kill Achilles. Paris killed Achilles.
Telemachus first thinks that Odysseus is a beggar, thanks to Athena's disguise of him. After Odysseus' transformation, Telemachus believes him to be a god, until Odysseus tells Telemachus of his identity.
Telemachus is the son of Odysseus, and Eumaeus is the swineherd of Odysseus.
One result of Odysseus's initial exchange with Antinous is that it sets the stage for the eventual confrontation between Odysseus and the suitors. Telemachus's act of removing the shields and weapons from the hall signifies a strategic move to prevent the suitors from defending themselves during the impending conflict. Additionally, this act symbolizes the reclaiming of order and control in Odysseus's household, paving the way for his true identity to be revealed and for the restoration of his rightful place.

Odysseus implicitly tells Telemachus not to string his bow, even though he can. Odysseus later signals Telemachus to prepare for battle after Odysseus has performed the feat of strength and skill.
At first Telemachus thought Odysseus was an old beggar, but when Athena made Odysseus appear majestic, and instantly changed his clothing, Telemachus thought he was talking to a god.
