Triangular trade
Triangular Trade
The triangular trade involved the sale of rum molasses and slaves among the ports of New England, Africa, and the West Indies.
slaves were brought from Africa to the west indies where they were put to work producing sugar and molasses. We traded these slaves for rum and guns. Slaves were also brought to North America where they picked cotton and produced tobacco and rum. These goods were shipped to Europe where they were traded for manufactured goods.
molasses
New England sent distilled rum to West Africa in exchange for slaves. West Africa sent slaves to the West Indies in exchange for molasses. The West Indies sent the molasses back to New England, to repeat the cycle.
They didn't trade anything. Slaves were brought from Africa to the West Indies

triangular trade
Slaves, sugar, molasses, and fruit went from the West Indies to England in the Triangular Trade.
Ships would take rum to Africa and trade for slaves; take the slaves to the West Indies and trade them for molasses; and take the molasses to a distillery and have it processed into rum. The word is "triangular."
