Can a Governor of any State appoint Representative in case of vacancy?

no Whenever a vacancy occurs in either House, the Governor is required to "issue writs of election", starting the process for a special election to fill the vacancy. During the election process, the Governor may, if the state legislature has passed a law allowing him/her to do so, appoint someone to temporarily fill only a Senate vacancy until a replacement is elected, but House vacancies always remain vacant until a replacement is elected.

There have been Spanish Governors, Mexican Governors, US Military Governors, US Territorial Governors and US State Governors, There have been Elected Governors, Appointed Governors, Temporary Governors, Cruel Governors, Corrupt Governors, Republican Governors, Democratic Governors, Famous Governors and Infamous Governors, Good and Bad Governors. The severed head of at least one Governor was once displayed in the Plaza in front of the Palace of the Governors. The long list covering 400 years of leadership in what is now the State of New Mexico begins with Don Juan de Onate and ends in 2010 with Bill Richardson and to date includes no women. Who is the presiding officer of lok sabha in the absence of the speaker and the deputy speaker?

Under the rules of Lok Sabha, the Speaker nominates from the members of the house a panel of not more than ten chairpersons. Any of them can preside over the House in the absence of the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker. He has the same powers as the Speaker when so presiding. He holds office until a new panel of chairpersons is nominated. When a member of the panel of chairpersons is also not present, any other person as determined by the House acts as the Speaker. It must be emphasized here that a member of the panel of chairpersons cannot preside over the House, when the office of the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker is vacant. During such time, the Speaker's duty are to be performed by such member of the house as the President may appoint for the purpose. The elections are held, as soon as possible, to fill the vacant posts. It must be emphasized here that a member of the panel of chairpersons cannot preside over the House, when the office of the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker is vacant. How is a vacancy in seat in the senate filled?

The 17th Amendment to the US Constitution requires that vacancies in the senate be filled by special election. When could the president fill a vancy in us sentate?

The President can never appoint someone to fill a Senate vacancy. The U.S. Constitution allows the Governor of the state to which the vacant seat is entitled to make a temporary appointment to fill the seat until a special election can be held, but only if the state legislature has passed a bill allowing him/her to do so. Actually there is one Senate vacancy for which the President appoints a replacement: the U.S. Vice President, who constitutionally is also the President of the Senate. Vice presidential appointments require the approval of both houses of Congress.

Senators and House representative are elected by voters in their states?

U. S. Senators and Representatives are elected by direct public vote. Each Senator is elected by all the voters of the state he/she represents, and each Representative is elected by the voters of his/her congressional district within the state. A Senator's term is six years; the term of a Representative is two years. There are no term limits for U. S. Senators and Representatives. Representatives are always elected on the day after the first Monday of November of even-numbered years (unless a special election is needed to fill a vacant seat).
