There are no "position #'s" for the coils, the position numbers are for your cylinders, the coils can be interchangable, one fits all. Hope that helps.
most of this problem is ignition coil fail, you can test it by exchange with other one.
There's not one but eight. Each plug has it's own coil.
Man,change your coil and it will fire again!! :)| i have already change coil on cylinder one 2 times ..so mazda love it his coils!!!!
8 -one per cylinder
Your truck does not have ignition coil. Instead, it has coil packs. The 5.4L has eight coil packs one on each spark plug. The 4.6L has two coil pack blocks 4 on each block.
I believe there are 8 coil packs...one sitting on top of each spark plug.
The 2002 Lincoln Navigator is 6 ft. 7.8 in. (79.8 in.)1 one-touch power windows wide.
The Ignition Coil is the one that cause misfire or Spark Plugs
On a 2002 Ford Ranger ( yes , one coil pack for each engine ) 2.3 liter DOHC four cylinder has ( 4 towers ) on the coil pack 3.0 and 4.0 liter V6 engines have ( 6 towers )
Does the engine have coil packs. Check that.
Lincoln Continentals are the same from 1998 to 2002, 98 is when they changed body style and 2002 is when they discontinued the continental.
