the difference between a dwrf hamster and a regular hamster is the dwarf hamster will stay the same size wbut the regular hamster will keep gtrowing
---- Well normally a dwarf is a lot smaller and a lot less sturdier. A dwarf is good for a fourteen year old and a reg. one is good for a nine year old. They both make awesome pets! You can be happy with either one.
All hamsters are the same really its just that dwarf hamsters are smaller
depends
dwarf hamsters are less smaller(about the size of your palm)
it all depends on which one you want
syrian are slightly bigger
i don't think so it depends on how u treat the hamster but it is a little harder to take care of the dwarf hamster because it doesent eat too much and if you over feed it it can die.
Dwarf hamsters can live with their own species of Dwarf Hamsters. Never put a Dwarf Hamster and Syrian Hamster together because the Syrian would attack the Dwarf.
Yes it is because when they reproduce, it doesn't come out from an egg like reptiles. So a Dwarf hamster is a mammal
Yes, if you want to.
It Depends On The Hamster Type. If Its A Dwarf Hamster, Its Better If Its Has Another Dwarf Hamster To Play With (make sure they are the same sex or you'll have little hamster babies ;P) If Its A Syrian Hamster It Doesn't Like Company, It Will Fight With The Other Hamster.Hope This Helps xD
No. One is a Syrian Hamster, the other is a Dwarf Hamster. They are not the same species, they are not even the same genus.
Yes it is perfect size my Syrian hamster uses one
There is no such breed as a Dwarf teddy bear hamster. The normal 'Teddy Bear' hamster is just a nick-name given to another variation of the Syrian hamster. This is the long haired variety and is sometimes referred to as the "Teddy Bear" These hamsters are all one and the same breed, the Syrian hamster. (Mesocricetus auratus) No attempt should be made to intermix different species.
If the 1 year old hamster is a syrian hamster DO NOT put another hamster with it. They are hamsters that NEED to be alone. If it is a dwarf, hamster, it might be ok. Dwarf hamsters like having each others company. However, if the 1 year old hamster is not use to other hamsters, it might not go over to well.
SYRIAN! Defenatly Syrian! I have Syrian hamster and when i hold him he really really likes it! You should really get one. Note: Guinea pigs also like when being held, but you asked for a hamster so I answerd you. SYRIAN! Defenatly Syrian! I have Syrian hamster and when i hold him he really really likes it! The first one. The second is too small for a syrian.
if you want only one hamster buy a syrian one. if you want two or more i'd prefer if you buy the winter white or dwarf type. by estherbella*
it will chew on it and eventually it will destroy it If you're talking about a real hamster and not a robotic one; hamsters are pretty unsophisticated when it comes to what they eat. We had a litter once that had one little one that had a bad foot, and the other hamsters ate it - I mean, ALL GONE! It was a little gross, but what do you do? Sorry, but you can't put a Syrian hamster with a Roboroski hamster, because although Roboroski hamsters are social, Syrians are not and will amost definitely fight.
I have a Syrian hamster I got her for £12. but her cadge and supplies are substantially more. A dwarf hamster is cheaper its self around £9. But supplies are the same as a Syrian hamsters. I would suggest you get a Syrian Hamster for handling. but a dwarf if you want to put several in one cage. I hope this is helpful.
its a bad idea if you are not copable enough to handel them mmmm dont, just to be safe because it is possible that one may eat the other.
The smallest one you can find!
