its a bad idea if you are not copable enough to handel them mmmm dont, just to be safe because it is possible that one may eat the other.
Yes keep a treat in your hand and let the hamster smell it, it will follow your hand and learn the obstacle course
You need a male and female hamster which you can purchase at the pet shop. I think that Golden hamsters (the big hamsters) and the Dwarf Hamsters (the small hamsters) will not breed <YES THEY WILL, MINE JUST DID>. Anyways you will have to partner them, transfer them to the same cage, after that you will partner them you can do this by tapping the partner button. Make sure the two hamsters like each other, you will know because the hamsters will push each other over (playfully). If the hamsters push each other over and lightning bolts show (that means they don't really like each other)<IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY LIKE EACH OTHER OR NOT, THEY GET OVER IT>. People say to transfer the hamsters to the same cage, charge your DS, and over night or all day leave your hamsters in the SAME CAGE. Make sure your DS is charging! When you wake up go to the pet shop and chat with the employees, they will then tell you if your hamster is pregnant, follow their directions and your done! All you need to do now Is wait a few days (7-10) and the babies will be born. to have there baby quicker save the game turn it off and then change the date 10 days later {just to be sure} turn it off go on to hamster 2 and choose your pregnant hamster and ta DA you have a baby hamster have fun <IF YOU DONT LIKE THE BABY HAMSTERS COLOR TURN IT OFF WITHOUT SAVING TO GET A DIFF. COLOR!> i turned off my ds 15 times and got a star hamster!! YAY THANK YOU PERSON WITH THE COMMENTS ;D
Actually, hey can be very smart. I taught my hamster to run through a whole agility set that I made out of popsicle sticks. I also will sometimes put my hamster in a harness leash and let it walk around outside. You can teach a hamster to walk on its hind legs by holding a piece of food in the air and having them follow it. Most hammies will do almost anything for food. Try searching different tricks to teach your hamster.
A hamster usually would follow treats through a maze.
get a food and it will follow it around
It depends on what kind of hamster you get; a dwarf hamster is smaller than a syrian or teddy bear hamster so a starter home might work for them but still do some research on the breed before you buy the cage. Also make sure the bars on the cage are small enough that the hamster can't squeeze out! If he/she can get their head out the rest will easily follow(unless your hamster is really fat which isn't good). Starter homes are NOT okay for syrians, they are too small and a hamster with too little room can die!! :( Wouldn't want that!! Hope this helps <3
Not in general, but I had a super-smart and very special one a few years ago (Gracie) - and she would come to me on call, follow me around the house, and even seemed to show concern when I was sad. But I haven't found another hamster that could even come close to my Gracie. But I'm still looking.
Yes. It's like if you were kept in your bedroom all your life. Hamsters don't live very long and they should be able to make the most of their lives. If you have a hamster, get it a Hamster Ball and put it in the back grden to roam around, or ask your vet how your hamster can be happier. Don't keep your hamster in it's cage for more than 24 hours. It's just the same as you getting no fresh air for a whole day or longer. Just like us, hamsters breathe (suprise, suprise) so they need oxygen. Leave the window open when your hamster is in it's cave. If you go on holiday and give your hamster to someone to look after it, make sure they get air and the right food and make sure you fully trust your friend to follow the rules you abide by. Thankyou for taking your time to read through, I'm sure your hamster will really appreaciate it. Also, cuddle and spend time with your hamster, it needs love too. Who knows if theres a hmster heaven?!
No, they are not supposed to. Hamster's teeth never stop growing, so they don't need to lose any teeth. If this does happen, consult a vet. To prevent this from ever happening, Give your hamster healthy chewing logs and sticks Don't feed your hamster anything that could get stuck in it's teeth such as sticky, chocolatey foods. Make sure your hamster's teeth don't overgrow. When a hamster's teeth get to long, it is hard for them to eat. Be sure that your hamster keeps his/her teeth strong and healthy by making sure he/she chews on his/her logs/sticks and eats healthy, crunchy foods such as a good seed mix. If you follow all these requirements, your hamster's teeth should be fine.

Try holding a piece of food each time
Sadly no - the unborn pups rely on their mother for nutrients, and if her body is dead, they will quickly follow. Even if they had just been born, it would also be impossible for them to survive without her, the chances of another suitable hamster fostering them is remote.
