Windows 7 was not "discovered", it was created, or designed - by a company called Microsoft - which is of course the same company that designed previous versions of Windows.

NO - I have winows 7 and I have counter-strike condition zero AND Counter-Strike 1.6 and they both work fine.
I think its the best, because of Direct X 11 and the fancy theme is great too.
This will vary on a product-to-product basis. Many programs written for Windows XP will work on Windows 7 just fine, but some do not. You will need to check with the company/person who wrote a particular piece of software to find out if it works on Windows 7. Fortunately, Microsoft figured this problem out when they released Vista, and managed to find a solution for Windows 7. This solution is called "XP Mode" and is basically another virtual computer running Windows XP right inside of Windows 7.
