asda is cheaper than tesco BUT tesco and asda sometimes make the foods cheaper because when nobody buys the item tesco and asda make the item cheaper like 25 pence or 15 pence only when the item is nearly out of date

It you were to ask the Board of Asda they would respond in unison - YES. However, if you did the same to all the others, you'd get the same response....

If you read the Super Market Magazine then it appears Tesco has its nose in front because of size, share prices average, growth and customer footfall ratio.

I write my shopping list on go on a comparison site, my shopping always comes back cheaper in tesco. but this sometimes be because of 1 or 2 items cheaper compared to the other stores.

swapping products to different sizes to get a better price per 100g etc

Every week last year (2010) Asda was cheaper than Tesco.

As with any supermarkets you need to check individual items. But overall they are competitors and so the prices are not so different.

i went in to tesco and bought 10 things and then i went in to asda and bought the exact same stuff and i can tell you now that asda was cheaper by £17.65 pounds that's $28.99
