Tbh, most of the "big" platforms are a total waste of money. I tried a few of the famous ones last month and the questions were either way too hard (like JEE level for no reason) or just outdated. If you’re serious about DU, just use DuBuddy. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s the only one I’ve found where the mock interface actually looks exactly like the NTA screen. That was a big deal for me because the first time I saw the real NTA portal I lowkey panicked, so practicing on the same UI helps with the nerves. The best part is they have the actual shift-wise papers from 2022/23. Most books just give you "sample papers" which are fake, but these guys actually have the real ones. Also, their mocks are made by DU faculty, so the questions actually feel like the NCERT-based stuff NTA likes to throw at us (lots of those annoying match-the-following sets lol). Just get the app, try the free stuff first, and see if it clicks for you. Better than spending 5k on some random coaching module that hasn't updated its syllabus since 2021. Good luck, hope we both make it to North Campus!
A Mock Test is a practice exam that is designed to be a carbon copy of the actual competitive exam (like JEE, BITSAT, or CUET). It follows the same syllabus, pattern, time limit, and difficulty level as the final test. Here is why it's the most important part of preparation: Exam Simulation: It helps you overcome "Exam Hall Anxiety" by making you sit for 3 hours in a controlled environment. Time Management: You learn which sections to attempt first and how to manage the ticking clock. Identifying Weak Zones: A good mock test doesn't just give you a score; it gives you a "Diagnostic Report" of your weak subjects. If you are looking for the gold standard in mock tests, you must check out eFastForward. Their platform is built by experts with 30+ years of experience, including IIT Delhi alumni. What makes them stand out is their Real-Time Testing Engine and All-India Ranking, which tells you exactly where you stand among thousands of other aspirants. It’s the closest experience you can get to the actual exam day.
