A spinal reflex is a reflex that is centered in the spinal cord. The parts of the nervous system in one of these include the spinal cord as well as deep tendon nerves and sensory nerves.
i thought it was, but on bitesize it says otheriwse
The spinal cord is where reflexes occur. Most higher animals do not have reflex arcs in the brain.
This actually part of the reflex arc. It would involve both the perpherial and central nervous systems.
The autonomic nervous system
Reflexes are handled in the spine.
Peripheral nervous system
An automatic response of the nervous system to the environment is reflex. A prolonged period of deep unconsciousness is a coma.
The division of autonomic nervous system responsible for pupillary light reflex is the parasympathetic system. This is what causes the pupils to close down or open up in response to lighting conditions.
A reflex
The Patellar reflex is an example of a somatic reflex. This refers to the branch of the nervous system that the reflex pertains to. The somatic branch is part of the Peripheral Nervous system, meaning that it's reflex arc does not pass through the central nervous system (the spinal cord and the brain)
The system that works closely is the nervous system
pupillary light reflex is controlled by parasympathetic branch of Autonomous nervous system
Swallowing involves the central nervous system and is a reflex.
To detect the afferent nervous system and if in fact it is functioning fine. This reflex is an autonomic response from the nervous system. If it is not functioning correctly more tests will be done to find the cause.
It looks across the entire world and sees their best friend and gets really happy
The parasympathetic nervous system allows the act of micturition. The sympathetic nervous system inhibits it.
