The compression phase of a spring model represents how molecules of air are close together. During compression, the molecules are tightly packed and have higher pressure.

You need a good gunsmith.
To model a compression wave using a coiled spring toy, you can compress one end of the spring and then release it, observing how the compression travels through the coils as a wave. The coils will move closer together in the compressed region and propagate along the spring as a wave until it reaches the other end. This demonstration can help visualize how compression waves move through a medium like a spring.
The Spring Loaded Inverted Pendulum (SLIP) model is an attempt at describing running motion through a spring-mass model. The SLIP model is depicted as an energy conserving system with a point mass as the body and a massless spring as the leg and foot.
To model a compressional wave using a coiled spring toy, you can create a wave by compressing and releasing the spring at one end, causing the compression to travel through the coils. The compression wave will move as the coils get closer together and then spread out as they return to their original positions, demonstrating the propagation of a compressional wave through a medium.
Toy spring.
I just received an A-5 recoil spring that was stated to fit the Remington model 11 12 gauge with a 5 round magazine tube . The A-5 spring was 3" longer than the original model 11 spring. Will it fit? Yes; after I shorten it.
'Atomistic' model, (since molecules where not recognised at that time)
It depends on the model
The model on the cover of the 2008 Summer Preview issue for Athleta is Monica Carlson. Not sure about the Spring catalog though.
C) The dots would be close together to start with, and get farther apart as the plane accelerated.
