Press ctrl alt and delete at the same time, then enter the password for the user or if it's not you enter an administrator's user name and the administrator password.
Default administrator password of windows vista is blank. That means write administrator in Username field and leave password field blank and hit Enter you .will able to log in to your computer. But if you forget you administrator password which you set earlier then use windows vista password recovery software to reset it.

To open any program file as an administrator right click on it and click run as administrator. If you are already an admin you won't be asked for a password. but if you are a standard user or a limited user you will need to enter an admins password.
