Which phylum does cyanide belong to?

Phylum is a term used in the classification of living (or previously living in the case of extinct or fossil organisms) things. It can also be applied to the classification of languages.

Cyanide is not a living thing, it is a chemical compound and therefore the term "phylum" can not be applied to it.
