All hardware components are important. A computer cannot operate without a power supply, processor, hard drive, mother board, and all other pieces of hardware necessary for it to function. So they are all important.
Lots of pieces are important, but the motherboard is what ties them all together.
If your buying it bundled like a keyboard/mouse desktop/moniter all in a box then for me it would be a wifi card. But if it's built by me then I would not know where to go with that.
Component
a peripheral is a piece of computer hardware that is added to the host computer
A modem is a piece of hardware. Mechanically installed in a computer to communicate with the internet or other computers. Software is a written program to operate within a computer.
Yes a chip (processor, RAM, BIOS, etc. are all chips) is considered a piece of hardware.
Yes. A working computer is composed of hardware which physically exists as opposed to software which is stored in the hardware and subject to change in normal usage. So a chip is hardware. A computer program is software.
Well a computer is a piece of hardware and whatever is installed into is a software and a webcam is installed so it is a software. p.s which idiot did not know that
Windows Media Player is a piece of software - not hardware.
A computer monitor - is a piece of hardware.
It is an input device and is a peripheral component.
Installation disks contains all the important file that helps the computer to interfere with the hardware (meaning its working & functionality). If we do not install then it wont be able to recognise what has been attached to it.
A device driver acts as a translator between a piece of hardware that is attached to the computer (for example, the keyboard, mouse, or printer) and programs that use that piece of hardware. Device drivers are necessary to make the hardware usable.
Hardware won't be recognized if no drivers / software have been installed for that piece of hardware.
