Which planet is known for it's great red spot?
The Great Red Spot is in Jupiter.
The Great Red Spot is a feature of planet Jupiter. The Great Red Spot is an anticyclonic storm, similar to a hurricane, which has been raging on the planet for a long time. It's not known exactly how long the storm has been raging on the planet. But we do know it's existed for over 347 years, because it was first discovered by Giovanni Domenico Cassini, with a telescope in 1665. There is recent evidence…
The great red spot is actually a giant hurricane that has been on Jupiter for thousands of years. The gases on Jupiter make the storm appear red. Jupiter fits in the column of a gas giant, so that explains the gas part. So really the great red spot is just a "landmark" on Jupiter, and no other planet that we know of has one.
