All planets in our solar system were found intentionally. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were known since ancient times. Uranus was thought to be a star by early astronomers until William Herschel discovered it was in orbit with the sun. Neptune was also thought to be a star by Galileo and was discovered to be a planet by the calculations of deviations in the orbit of Uranus mid 19th century. Similarly, Pluto (which has lost its planet hood status since 2006) was discovered intentionally however by false calculations in the orbit of Neptune.
