I don't think it's from a poem. As far as I can tell, although attributed online to Edgar Allan Poe, it seems to be a lyric from a song by Poe, a 90's female singer/songwriter.

No. Back pain does not cause heart disease. Sometimes when a person is having a heart attack, the pain can radiate to the back.
