I am pretty sure that a WAN connection would not be needed for a home network. A WAN is a Wide-Area Network. A WAN would be used to connect to your business computer from home. A LAN is a Local-Area Network. It should be sufficient if the network is simply for sharing files or printers, etc.
Remote Access software supports connection to PC on a home network from outside the network. This can allow you to retrieve personal data or assist someone with network issues whilst not at home.

Yes, it's possible. Connect both printers to a computer which has wireless or lan connection with the router and activate sharing in the printers' properties. If printers have its own network interface, make sure that network properties are configured properly.
