With time there has been advance developments in Interfaces used by Devices & Peripherals to connect to computer has moved towards univeral standards for INPUT & OUTPUT interfaces. Earlier Keyboard & Mouse used to Connect to serial ports then moved towards PS2 ports and now USB ports. For Display VGA ports used earlier now uses DVI and HDMI interfaces. Printersused parallel ports now uses USB & Ethernet interfaces.Considering new interfaces today PS2, Serial, Parallel and VGA Ports can be considered as Legacy ports.
