Potential energy, mass, the speed of light and temperature are scalars, not vectors - to name a few.

Vectors have magnitude and direction. Some examples are force, acceleration, momentum, velocity, torque. Distance could have a direction added to it; it depends on the context (ex: drive North for 12 miles, then turn and drive East for 5 miles).

Which are the scalar quantities?

A scalar quantity is a non-vector quantity. In a vector quantity, direction is relevant. In a scalar quantity, it is not. For example, mass (measured in kg.) is a scalar; force is usually indicated as a vector (magnitude in Newton, but the direction is also relevant).A scalar quantity is a non-vector quantity. Is angle scalar quantity or vector quantity?

Almost all of us would say that angle is a scalar quantity. But the beauty is that angle is a vector quantity. Now the question arises. Where will be the direction? As we measure the angle in a plane in counter clockwise direction, then direction of angle vector will be perpendicular to the plane and coming out of the surface. If the angle is measured in clockwise then vector would go into the surface normally. As angle becomes vector then angular velocity w = @/t also becomes a vector.

What are the Examples of a vector quantity?

Some examples of a vector quantity would be a car or a plane.

What is basic quantity which is vector quantity?

Which of the following is a vector quantity

Is velocity a scalar quantity or vector quantity?

Velocity is a vector. Its magnitude is called 'speed'.

A vector quantity has direction a scalar quantity does not true or false?

True, a vector quantity has direction, and a scalar quantity does not.

Is beauty scalar or vector quantity?

It is neither. The terms "scalar" and "vector" are used to physical measurements; things that can actually be measured with a certain amount of precision.

Is momentum a vector or scalar quantity?

Momentum is a vector quantity. We know that momentum is the product of mass and velocity, and velocity has direction. That makes velocity a vector quantity. And the product of a scalar quantity and a vector quantity is a vector quantity.

Is power a vector quantity or a scalar quantity?

vector, power= work/time and work= force * distance, force is vector.

What is a quantity that has a magnitude and direction?

A vector quantity

Is vector a displacement quantity?

displacement is a vector quantity
