Louis Pasteur
bacteria do not arise spontaneously by boiling the broth & showing that bacteria appear only when living bacteria were already present.
The tested variable is whether or not things rose spontaneously from the broth.
To kill any organisms that may have come in through the air.
He demonstrated that new bacteria appeared in broth only when they were produced by living bacteria. The experiments of Redi and Pasteur helped to convince people that living things do not arise from nonliving material.
Cells came from nonliving things.or Cells could generate spontaneously.
Louis Pasteur is credited with discovering the falsity of spontaneous generation through his experiments with sterilized broth in swan-necked flasks. His results showed that microbial growth only occurred when the flask was exposed to air, debunking the idea that life could spontaneously arise from non-living matter.
Showed that sterile broth remained free of microorganisms until exposed to air.
the organisms could come from the heat in the broth if you boil it,cause if you boil it,it creates organisms. It will only work if you put a cap on top of the bottle you are boiling. the one with the cap on is not cantaminated. The one without the cap is cantaminated and already has organisms in it.so the organisms come from the oxygen in the one where it does not have the cap on
