Radium was first discovered in 1898 by Marie Skłodowska-Curie and her husband Pierre Curie, and Gustave Bémont, living and researching in Paris, France.
Radium was discovered in pitchblende coming from North Bohemia, in the Czech Republic.
Marie Skłodowska Curie and her husband Pierre Curie jointly announced the discovery of the element Radium on December 26, 1898. Madame Curie had been born in Warsaw, but was a French citizen by the time of their Nobel Prize-winning discovery. It wasn't until 1910 that Marie Curie, working on alone after the accidental death of Pierre, was able to isolate a tiny amount of the pure Radium metal. She had to process tons of pitchblende ore in order to produce a tiny fraction of a gram of the metal.

Pasteur discovered that boiling instruments disinfected them from microbes. he tested his vaccination on sheep and worked!
French scientist Henri Becquerel discovered radioactive elements.
The French chemist Antoine Lavoisier.
To tell u the truth I have no idea. Im am supposed to be looking for the answer cause of my science fair project. GASES (the air ones). -Manroop K. Bains
chlorophyll.. comes from the greek word meaning ''green leaf''. Chlorophyll was first isolated br french chemist JOSEPH PELLELIER ang his research assistant BIENAIME CAVENToU.
Roy Plunkette
It was Louis Pasteur.
Beryllium was discovered by French chemist Louis-Nicolas Vauquelin in 1798. Vauquelin suggested the name glucinium, meaning "sweet tasting," for the element because the element and some of its compounds have a sweet taste. The name beryllium was adopted officially in 1957.
Louis Pasteur(1822-1895) a French chemist first discovered what causes illness.
french chemist Charles frederic gerhardt
Nitrogen was isolated by the British physician Daniel Rutherford in 1772, but was not recognized as an element until 1776 by the French chemist Antoine Laurent Lavoisier.
Gallium was discovered in France by a French chemist named Paul Emile Lecoq de Boisbaudran in 1875. Hopefully this helps :)
Uranium was discovered by Martin Heinrich Klaproth, a German chemist, in the mineral pitchblende (a mix of uranium oxides) in 1789. Klaproth confused the oxide with the metal. In 1841 the French chemist Peligot isolated uranium as a pure metal element. Henry Becquerel (also a Frenchman) discovered the natural radioactivity of uranium in 1896.
It was discovered in France by the French chemist André-Louis Debierne.
Dry ice was discovered rather than invented. It was first discovered by Charles Thilorier a French chemist in 1834.
Iodine was discovered by a French chemist called Barnard Courtois in 1811. He was extracting the compounds of sodium and potassium from the seaweed ash after which he added sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to further the process the ash.
