More than anything, I would recommend against overpaying for speaker cables. For a while, Everest offered the Audioquest speaker cable. It cost $21,000 for 3m of cable, and even the most trained ears couldn't tell the difference between the speakers hooked up with the Audioquest cable, and just run of the mill cables reliably. A lot of cables are like this, they have a huge price tag because they know somebody will be stupid enough to buy it regardless. If you really want to splurge, go for a cable with gold coated connectors since they do offer greater conductivity, but there really won't be much if any noticeable difference. My 2 cents.
To get the best sound, a decent sound card is preferred. Depending on the type of speaker, being able to plug an XLR cable would deliver the best quality (as 1/4 inch or "line in" cables can reduce the quality of the sound), however, an external sound card would be required for this. Plugging the speakers into the laptop digitally (i.e. via USB) would also deliver a better sound. However, plugging a double 3.5mm jack cable from the laptop into the speaker is usually enough to ensure a good sound quality.
Best Buy is the place to buy Bose sound systems. They have an entire room dedicated to these types of surround sound speaker systems. They will even offer a good price on them
There really aren't many large brands involved with making speaker cables and there isn't really much to argue with. It's not something you need to overthink.
To optimize your surround sound setup for the best audio experience, ensure speakers are placed correctly for optimal sound distribution, calibrate speaker levels and distances, adjust settings on your receiver for room acoustics, and use high-quality audio cables for better sound quality.
Speaker cables can be bought at a variety of stores and even online. Best Buy, HHGregg, Target, Walmart and Kmart will carry speaker cables. They vary in price, depending on the length. They can cost from $5 up to $150 for commercial types.

To optimize your sound system setup for the best audio quality, consider the following steps: Position your speakers correctly: Place them at ear level and ensure they are equidistant from your listening area. Adjust the speaker settings: Fine-tune the bass, treble, and balance settings to suit your preferences and room acoustics. Use high-quality audio cables: Invest in good quality cables to minimize signal loss and interference. Calibrate your system: Use a sound meter to adjust the volume levels and speaker distances for optimal sound balance. Acoustic treatment: Consider adding acoustic panels or rugs to reduce echoes and improve sound clarity in your room. By following these steps, you can enhance the audio quality of your sound system setup.

A 100W 18kHz speaker can produce high frequency sounds, but sound quality depends on other factors like speaker design and material quality. It's best to test the speaker or look at reviews to determine if it has good sound for your needs.
