It usually requires the three words If, Then and Because. For example if you were testing exercise and its effect on heart rate, a hypothesis would be "If the exercise intensity is increased, then the heart rate will increase, because your heart helps with exercise"

What your asking is what study would be used to figure out its hypothesis, which is a redundant question as all studies are based on testing its hypothesis, which is a paradox. Please ask a less complex, unanswerable question next time.
