When you care about others, it is often referred to as empathy or compassion. Empathy involves understanding and sharing the feelings of others, while compassion extends that understanding into a desire to help or alleviate their suffering. Both traits reflect a concern for the well-being of others and foster positive relationships.
Both work in high stress fields and have to concern themselves with the safety of others and maintaining privacy. With both careers you never know what to expect and even a routine patient or day can quickly change requiring you to be on top of your game.
