Chlorophyll is vital for photosynthesis, which allows plants to absorb energy from light. Chlorophyll molecules are arranged in and around photosystems that are embedded in the thylakoid membranes of chloroplasts.

if you are talking about living things, plants can absorb sunlight through a process called photosynthesis. But if you aren't talking about living things, then I would have to say solar panels. They act in the same way as plants, only they aren't alive. Some companies use solar energy instead of nuclear energy or something else with dangerous waste products, because solar energy has no waste and is a clean way to get energy. Although you have to get a lot of solar panels to equal the amount of energy poured out by nuclear plants. But if you want to go safe, solar is the one for you.
