Many summer storms in North Carolina are caused by air masses moving from the Gulf of Mexico. These warm, moist air masses can lead to the development of thunderstorms when they interact with cooler air in the region. Additionally, local topography and sea breezes can enhance storm formation, contributing to the state's summer storm activity.
Glacial erosion is caused by moving masses of ice. As glaciers flow over the land, they pick up rocks and debris, scraping and carving the land beneath them. This process shapes the landscape through processes such as plucking and abrasion.
Tide. Tides are masses of moving water. The moons gravitational pull causes the form of a wave to occur.
The type of erosion that is caused by moving masses of ice is called glacial erosion.

The Coriolis effect. It is caused by the rotation of the Earth and leads to the deflection of moving air masses to the right in the northern hemisphere. This effect influences the direction of winds on a large scale, including the movement of air masses.

I call huge masses of rapidly moving air miles above the Earth's surface the Jet Streams.
