The conductors in capacitors are typically made from thin plates (or foil) of very ductile metallic materials to get the most capacitance. These materials must also be inexpensive and widely available. Aluminum is typically the workhorse material for most conductors in capacitors. Tantalum is used as well for the Cathode plate. Silver is also appears in silver-mica capacitors, and are used for high-accuracy audio applications. I believe that Manganese Dioxide MnO2 is sometimes used, as well, for the anode plate.
A capacitor is a passive electronic component consisting of a pair of conductors separated by a dielectric (insulator). When there is a potential difference (voltage) across the conductors, a static electric field develops in the dielectric that stores energy and produces a mechanical force between the conductors. An ideal capacitor is characterized by a single constant value, capacitance, measured in farads. This is the ratio of the electric charge on each conductor to the potential difference between them.
Probably vacuum ac capacitors.
Film capacitors cannot be replaced with ceramic or mica capacitors if used for analog signal processing. However, mica capacitors can be replaced with ceramic capacitors in general.
c1 and c2 capacitors with crystal eliminates the Harmonics(Unwanted frequencies) .
Fire alarm system may be having some electronic devices and cards, in which some capacitors are used. Capacitors are part of any electronic cards.
there is no separate capacitors for AC and DC. All capacitors are same. Electrolytic capacitors are manufactured by creating a die-electric by chemical etching or electroplating on one plate. Such capacitors when connected in AC circuit dislodges the die-electric material and thus results in short circuit between the two parallel plates of the capacitor. For AC circuits only non-electrolytic capacitors should be used. The common type is oil impregnated paper capacitor.
The type of dielectric most often used in variable capacitors is air. Also, trimmer capacitors often use mica.
Metals and alloys are used as conductors: copper, aluminium, silver.
But we do, we do. Copper, Aluminum and other metals are used in many components because they ARE conductors. For example Copper is used in inductors & transformers; Aluminum is used as the plates of most capacitors.
type of capacitors on the basis of dieelectri material
Probably vacuum ac capacitors.
Type your answer here... to check motor capacitors.
Padders are a type of Capacitors which are used at low frequency end of the radio dial.
Conductors have a (low) Electrical resistance.
The capacitors used in table fans is to start its induction motor.
Film capacitors cannot be replaced with ceramic or mica capacitors if used for analog signal processing. However, mica capacitors can be replaced with ceramic capacitors in general.
A capacitor add torque to an electric motor that is designed to use them, they are called PSC or permanent split capacitor type motors. the capacitors terminals go to the Run and Start windings.
A.C capacitorAnswerGenerally speaking power-factor capacitors are oil-impregnated paper capacitors -i.e. capacitors whose dielectric is manufactured from oil-impregnated paper. Power-factor capacitors are rated in reactive volt amperes, rather than in farads. There is no such thing as an 'AC capacitor', as all capacitors (other than polarised capacitor) can operate on either AC or DC.
