Should a farsighted person use a concave or convex?

You must use convex lenses because in farsighted person the image is formed at the back of retina so it must be move forward to make it exactly in the retina so convex converges so it will be forwarded.

Type of image of convex lens?

a convex lens looks like an oval from the side. it can be used in the glasses of a long sighted person. i really should be doing my homework right now. i have been doing it since 11am and it is now 15.43pm.

Should a short sighted person use a concave or convex lens?

This is a lens which is designed to help someone who has problems seeing at distance (myope), the light rays going into your eye are not hitting the fovea (the part of the eye located on the retina which allow you to see clearly) in the proper place, these rays are falling in front of the fovea, so by using a concave ( a minus lens) lens, this moves these light rays by diverging them and moving them back to the fovea which allows for clear vision at distance. At least this is how a concave lens is used optically speaking.this is from winter006: concave mirrors are used in stores and gas stations to see a wider area of the store. It's also called , a Diverging Lens .It is thinnest in the centre and spreads light out , so it gives a diminished image .

Where should the object be placed in order to produce a larger object behind a concave mirror?

The object should be necessarily be placed between the focal point of the concave mirror and the pole of the mirror to produce a larger image(not larger object) behind the concave mirror.

Does a convex lens invert images?

Yes. Image formed by convex lens is laterally inverted. However, It should be kept in mind that convex lens can form both real and virtual images. If the object is placed beyond F (Focus), then real image will be formed and laterally inverted. However, if the object is placed between F and C. Then the images formed will be virtual but NOT laterally inverted. For concave lens, all images formed is on the same side so the images formed is NOT laterally inverted

Why is this statement false a polygon is concave if no diagonal contains points outside the polygon?

It should be convex

What is a depression slide?

it is a piece of glass where microscopic specimens are placed for observation. This slide has a circle in the middle with a convex side and a concave side. The sample should be placed in the depression- on the concave side.

What is the miniscus?

mEniscus is the curve or crescent of the surface on a liquid or substance and can be concave or convex. The meniscus should be taking in to account when a readings made to make precise measurements.

Which mirror is used for security?

the answer is convex lens! to find this out you should know that concave lens are curved outward and convex lens are curved inward! i hope this helped and if it didn't i would like to apologize for not answering your question, now i bid a fine fairwell to all!

What structures should kidneys have?

The kidneys are part of the excretory system of the body. They are shaped like beans with the convex side of each organ located laterally and the concave side medial.

Why concave lens is the lens could correct the image formed of a nearsighted person?

Human eye is optical miracle.Depending on the distance of the object, we have to change the position of the screen. In case of human eye, screen (Retina) is kept at fixed distance and eye lens is elastic and it becomes more or less thin or thick, so as to adjust image on retina. This phenomena is called accommodation. In near sighted persons lens is more convex than it should be. So we put concave lens in front of eye, so that image of distant object should fall on retina. Human brain is also miracle and after few days, it starts guessing the actual distance of the object.

Which type of lens should a person who is near sighted use explain?

If you are near sighted u can see close but not at distances so you would have to use a negative lense in glasses or contacts such as -1.25

How often should a blind blink?

Generally, a blind person blinks for the same reason a sighted person blinks. We blink to maintain the moisture in our eyes. They're at the same rate.

When packing wound with gauze and drain the gauze should be concave or convex to the wound?
