Out on a limb here, but I'd say the rocks that contain silicate minerals would be the best at retaining heat. Intrusive igneous rocks like granite.

I'm not sure but the mantle, which is molten, is mostly made up of peridotite (a type of rock); the core is made mostly of the metal iron
