The exact phrase "prayer changes things" does not appear anywhere in the KJV bible.
That verse isn't from the bible, it's a pray called "Serenity Prayer".
For more than 70 years, the composer of the prayer was thought to be the Protestant theologian Reinhold Niebuhr. It is not a prayer as such from the bible.
These can't be found in the Bible because "the boondock saints family prayer" was not written by any of the writers of the Scriptures. It can be roughly translated from the book of Ezekiel verse 25:17

John 14:13 reads " Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."This verse describes prayer. While you can meditate on any scriptural verse as a form of contemplative prayer, describing this verse itself as 'a prayer' would be misleading.
