No telling which one. There are several active ones that do erupt. One of the most dangerous is Mt. Vesuvius with over a million people living near it. It is monitored daily and anything new is watched. The ring of fire in the Pacific has been very active and the huge caldera that is Yellowstone could go at some point. If scientists could predict when and where the next eruption would take place they would do it, but they can't.
It depends, a volcano can erupt once and never erupt again. Or, a volcano can erupt multiple times a day.
An extinct volcano is one that will never erupt again.
A dormant volcano is one that is just sleeping and it is possible to erupt again. An extinct volcano will never erupt again.
ACTIVE! Ones that are sleeping but could erupt again are called DORMaNT! And ones that are never going to erupt again are called EXTINCT!
Active volcanoes erupt. Dormant volcanoes are quiet - but may erupt again some day. Extinct volcanoes have "closed up shop" for good, and will never erupt again.
•Volcanoes are found in three different states-•Active which means: Erupted recently and expected to erupt again.•Dormant which is: A volcano which has not erupted in recorded history.•Extinct this means: A volcano which is never going to erupt again.
Extinct. like dinosaurs are Extinct, Dead, lifeless, no possible re-starts.
Yes. If it doesn't erupt and never has erupted then it is not a volcano.
No it is extinct so it can never erupt again so it is perfectly safe.
active is when the volcano is going to or is erupting. dormant is when the volcano is not erupted but is sleeping. extinct means that the volcano is dead and it will never erupt again.
No, Mount Everest will not erupt because it is not a volcano.
An extinct volcano that has not erupted for at least 10,000 years and is not expected to erupt again. A dormant volcano may have erupted several thousand years or more before and is not expected to erupt again, but it still has a magma supply.
