i personally think blistex. burts bees works pretty good to, but blistex works 2x better. my lips get very very chapt during the winter, vaseline works great to. when you first put on blistex it even feels more soothing!! so for chapt lips i would defenettly use blistex, but when it comes to sores i would use vaseline
Forr kids you should put their blistered areas in a tub of cold water(not to cold it could cause frost bite) or put aloe and Shea lotion on it .for adults you can put your blistered area in warm water.
Anbesol is really a great medicine for cold sores.
Blistex is a balm designed for use on the lips to sooth sore and chapped skin. They also make a product which works against cold sores. Apart from these applications there really is no further use for this product.
Try drinking more water and consuming less salt. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure: I use Blistex because it works for me, but lots of people that I know prefer Carmex(sic) or Chapstik(sic). And stop licking your lips.

Usually putting a lip balm to make your lips smooth first works better. The stain will get in the cracks of your lips and will look dry if you do not smooth your lips first. Burts Bees is a pretty good balm that is easy to obtain.
