A binge is in an "anorexic" tendency if the person later fasts, severly restricts, or excessively exercises for the next few days to "make up for" the calories eaten during that binge.
A binge is in a "bulimic" tendency is the person later purges by vomiting or laxative abuse to rid their body of much of the food from the binge.
If your question is "WHERE would they get an eating disorder from?": An eating disorder isn't a cold or a bacteria so its not passed from person to person. Its also very hard to treat. Its a lifelong debilitating disease where you become your own worst enemy and nothing satisfies you. It could happen to anyone but it typically starts as a young teenager and typically woman but sometimes men. There are actually MORE THAN ONE eating disorder, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and EDNOS. Anorexia is where you fast and exercise until you are skin and bones but you still feel fat. Bulimia is where you binge (eat a huge amount of food) then you get it out of your body by some means, Binge Eating Disorder is where you eat and feel completely out of control unless your eating, And EDNOS is 'Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified' where you don't meet ANY criteria for one diagnose or you have pieces of two diagnoses.
It seems as though you are referring to bulimia. However, bulimia is characterized by binge eating followed by purging (throwing up). Binge eating alone would probably just be considered food addiction.
Yes. That would be known as either a distored eating habit or an eating disorder known as compulsive over-eating / binge eating.
Both Binge Eaters and bulimia sufferers over stuff themselves with food but Bulimia sufferers throw it up and binge eaters don'tP'S - There both queers that just need to get over it...
Yes, but not really. Anorrexia is like a strong, extreme form of a diet. You would have to be limiting severly what you are eating and exercising a lot to be considered anorexic, and both - in normal levels - is considered dieting. I guess is you binge a lot and are not succesful, then yu wuldn't really be going on a diet. But then your anorexia would not be too pronounced, either.
Anorexia and Bulimia are diagnosed mainly by the weight of the sufferer. If a Bulimic person becomes underweight, they will then be diagnosed with Anorexia the Binge and Purge subtype. There are two main subtypes of anorexia nervosa: Restricting: Where low weight is maintained by low food intake, exercise and/or laxative abuse Binge/Purge: While restricting; engaging in regular binge and/or purge sessions
A bineg eating disorder is where a person continually "binge" eats. This means that they eat excessive, large amounts of food in a relatively short period of time. This food is usually not very healthy. As a result, there can be weight problems, health problems related to obesity, the likelyhood of developing bulimia (to purge after such bingeing), and depression.
The most reliable place in which a person can find information on Binge Eating Disorder would be from the NHS website as they'll have all the information about it and it will be very accurate. Within this you will find information on those who are affected, and links between it and anorexia and obesity.
That would be virtually all eating disorders. The most common are anorexia and bulimia.
It would simply take over two weeks to notice the changes and put on over 2 pounds if a real binge eater.
No, that eating disorder would be anorexia nervose.
That would be anorexia nervosa.
