Hauteclere (or Halteclere, or Hauteclaire, literally "High and Pure", is the sword of Olivier, a Count/Paladin in Charlemagne's Army in the French epic, "The Song of Roland". It is described as being of burnished steel, with a crystal embedded in a golden hilt. -In Spanish version of the poem "Kantar de Roldan" Halteclere is Oliveros (Olivier in French) swords and sometimes is called Glorious or Closamont.
