Totally agree. Dawn is the most mary-sue character on the show. Even more so than Ash, and that's saying a lot.
Misty was annoying when she first appeared, then turned out to be one of the most beloved characters of all time. May was easily hated for being a replacement, and sucking at contests, but she fought through it and worked her way up to be one of the best characters on the show. Dawn stole the show from Ash in D&P. She only lost once almost like they wanted us to believe that she's not a mary-sue, but then she won every contest afterwards. Even beating May in a contest, which is unlikely with all of May's experience. Thank god Iris is here now. I stopped watching the show in D&P because of her.
All in all, Dawn is a total mary-sue. No ifs or buts around it.
