Nelly was the main person who aided Cathy in caring for Linton, who was her cousin. Nelly was the housekeeper at Thrushcross Grange and took on the responsibility of looking after both Cathy and Linton after their parents passed away.
callously
Cathy marries Linton due to pressure from her father, who forces her to choose between marrying Linton and being disowned. Cathy believes that marrying Linton will bring financial stability and security for her and her family.
Catherine Linton (Little Cathy) does marry Linton Heathcliff, yes.
Nelly intercepted Linton's letters to Cathy, replacing them with her own made-up versions to manipulate Cathy's emotions. Nelly also lied to Cathy about Linton's health in order to discourage her from visiting him. By controlling the flow of information, Nelly effectively prevented Cathy and Linton from communicating directly with each other.
Cathy meets Linton at Thrushcross Grange, not on the moors. They eventually end up meeting at Wuthering Heights when Cathy is taken captive by Heathcliff.

Let's begin with the main characters, Cathy and Heatchliff. Heathcliff is the adopted brother of Cathy Earnshaw and her brother, Hindley, who are the children of Mr and Mrs Earnshaw. Cathy marries Edgar Linton, the son of a posh family across the moor, and has a daughter, also called Catherine. Heathcliff marries Edgar's sister, Isabella, and they have a son, Linton. Flashforward to the future, and Catherine, Cathy's daughter, and Linton, Heathcliff's son, are married to one another. After Linton dies, Catherine marries Hareton, who is the son of Hindley, her uncle and the original Cathy's brother.
Cathy's father was unaware of her visit to Thrushcross Grange to see Linton because she went there secretly without informing him. Cathy wanted to see Linton without her father's knowledge because she knew he wouldn't approve of her associating with the Lintons, given the longstanding feud between their families.
