Wiki answers most of your questions but not all of them!!
WikiAnswers EditorsThis is a wiki. We are all authors and editors; we work as a team to reach a common goal.
The other websites for wiki are Wikipedia, wikilyrics, wikctionary, and Wikihow.com. That's not including Wikianswers!
Yes. WikiAnswers is based on wiki technology which means that anyone can write an answer or edit an answer.
No, all of the Wiki sites are not owned by one company. For example, WikiAnswers is owned by the Answers Corp. (answers.com), while Wiktionary is owned by Wikipedia.
Wikianswers is a wiki, not a person and therefore cannot technically know anything. All answers provided are from people who use the site.
We could all clean wiki answers by taking away all the really stupid questions.
To seed a new question on wiki answers is easy. All you have to do is make and account.
No. However, the coincidence in names provides a fun tidbit. A wiki is defined as "A collaborative website which can be directly edited by anyone with access to it" - both WikiAnswers and Wikipedia are plays on this word: WikiAnswers is a site where anyone can ask, answer, and edit questions, whereas Wikipedia is a wiki-encyclopedia which anyone can read or edit.
Be cause wiki does not know everything. Here's why, because if wiki knows everything and someone(a human) made wiki, than that means that the person who made wikianswers knows everything. However, that's imposible because the only one who is all knowing is GOD!!! (if you belive in god)
WikiAnswers does not run on the MediaWiki platform, and it is not associated with the Wikimedia foundation. WikiAnswers runs its own custom software, that is not at all related to MediaWiki. WikiAnswers is owned by Answers.com, and its software is constantly being updated to deliver the best user experience possible.
