Washington Capitals - Meeting eight times in the playoffs, this is an inter-division rivalry. The rivalry re-heated (began in 1991) with Alex Semin in a media talk, talking about Sidney Crosby.
New York Islanders - A newer rivalry, starting around the 2010 - 2011 season, with "Fight Night" on February 11th, 2011, which includes a fight between Johnson and DiPietro, the teams' goalies, and gave out three suspensions (Pens - Godard, NYI - Gillies, Martin). The rivalry is beginning to grow as the future seasons and games rage on between the two teams.
