It really depends how far your in the game, and which fire emblem .(it's a game right?)The first few ppl you get in path of radiance is Ike, Boyd, Oscar Rhys, and Titania. When you get to around chapter 2-6 you get Soren. Then you get another mage that's a girl.(i forget her name) And around 7-11 i think you get some laguz called lethe and Mordecai, following w/ Mist(Ike's sister) and Rolf.(Oscar and Boyd's little brother). There are a lot of characters in the game, so this is all i can tell you.
I hope this helped!

Marth and Roy are both from the Fire Emblem series but are in different games. Marth is in: Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Fire Emblem: Shin Monshou no Nazo - Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu while Roy is only in Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi. He is seen in the secret ending of Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword as well. Also, both characters are in Fire Emblem Awakening, but only are available as add on content
In the Fire Emblem series, certain games allow players to recruit enemies through various means. This often involves meeting specific conditions, such as reducing their health, speaking to them with particular characters, or completing certain objectives. Notable examples include characters like Zihark and Mia in "Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance," or characters like Tharja and Camilla in "Fire Emblem: Awakening" and "Fire Emblem: Fates," respectively. These mechanics add depth to gameplay by allowing players to expand their roster strategically.
In just about every level, someone comes or leaves.
It really depends on which fire emblem your talking about. If you want the main character, they're usually the ones of the 'Lord' class. For example, In the first Fire Emblem game and its sequel, Marth is the main character. There is also a large cast involved in every Fire Emblem game. The first Fire Emblem to be released outside of Japan (Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Swords) had three lords; Lyn, Hector and Eliwood (the latter being the father of Roy, the protagonist of the game's sequel, which was never localised.) In Fire Emblem 8: Sacred Stones, the lords are Eirika and Ephraim. In 9 and 10: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, respectively, Ike is the protagonist despite not starting out or finishing as a lord, and Micaiah is also an important part of the latter game. Other than the lords, I previously mentioned there being a rather large cast of playable characters in each and every game.
They "die" or they're wounded so you can't use them for the rest of the game. This feature is very popular in the Fire Emblem series.
The last Fire Emblem to come out was Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for (DS). Past US titles include... Fire Emblem (GBA), Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (GBA), Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GameCube) and now Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (DS). Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the prequel to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Fire Emblem (GBA) is the prequel to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (DS). There are more Fire Emblem games in Japan, but no others have been translated.
