I'm not sure what you mean by the 'deception' of the charesters. Maybe you mean description? And if so do you mean a physical description of them?

The Hunger Games trilogy is based on a girl named Katniss Everdeen.

Katniss is sixteen when she volunteers to be a tribute for the Hunger Games in place of her sister, Primrose Everdeen. Katniss and her family is from District 12. She grew up in the Seam, which is the poorest part of her district. Being from the Seam, she has dark, grey eyes, olive skin and dark hair. She is somewhat small. Her father died in the mining accident in District 12 that left many people fatherless or husbandless. Katniss was named after an edible plant called Katniss root. Before the Hunger Games, she liked to hunt with her best friend, Gale.

Peeta Mellark is the chosen male tribute from District 12. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He is tall and strong. His family was slightly more wealthy than Katniss'. His family is a break making family, who named him after Peeta bread.

Gale is Katniss' best friend. He's eighteen. He also grew up in the Seam. He has straight black hair, olive skin and grey eyes. His father was killed in the same explosion that killed Katniss' father.
