∙ 10y agoEssentially, scattered groups of nut-job cultists who like to claim some sort of connection with the Bavarian Illuminati of the 18th century. Some of these "groups" who claim the mantel of Illuminati might be doing so simply to separate gullible people from their money.

∙ 10y agoIt is a ghost of history. The Illuminati was disbanded by general order of the Duke of Bavaria in 1784, and by a specific order in 1785. It has not existed since.
